Application-led Engineering

Built around the machine, not the part number.

JY ROBOT supports AGV, AMR and automated storage projects with drive and steering modules, lifting modules and robot accessories. Component selection is based on the complete machine architecture while keeping standardisation wherever possible.

Standard platforms where possible. Application-specific adaptation where necessary.
Five Application Scenarios

Where our components fit.

Warehouse and logistics AMR application
APPLICATION 01

Warehouse & Logistics AGV/AMR

For pallet transport, order picking, line-side delivery and internal logistics, drive selection should be based on gross vehicle weight, driven-wheel load, target speed, turning radius and aisle width. Differential drive can suit compact pivot-turning layouts, while drive-steering units are useful where wheel direction must be controlled independently. Lifting modules can be integrated when pallet pickup or transfer height adjustment is required.

Underride AMR application
APPLICATION 02

Underride & Low-Profile AGV/AMR

Underride and low-profile robots place strict limits on drive-module height, wheel diameter and lifting stroke. Shelf entry, top lifting and compact docking also require careful control of the steering envelope and ground clearance. Horizontal drive-steering units and compact ball-screw lifting modules are often evaluated together when packaging space is limited. See our low-profile underride AGV/AMR drive-system guide for packaging and component-selection considerations.

Heavy-duty handling robot application
APPLICATION 03

Heavy-Duty Material Handling AGVs

Heavy-duty AGVs for large workpieces, moulds and industrial equipment should be sized from actual wheel load and required tractive force rather than payload rating alone. Load distribution, slope, acceleration, tyre friction and pivot-turn resistance can all affect the final drive choice. Twin-wheel differential drive modules are commonly considered where high traction and compact turning are required. For 6–8 ton projects, see our heavy-duty differential drive sizing guide. For a worked calculation, see the 8-ton AGV drive-system design example.
